Fighting Saints pull us back

Yesterday evening, Southampton F.C managed to scrap a point off of us to bring our advantage over Manchester City to just two points. We are still top of the table with 28 points and Manchester City are close on our hills with 26 points after edging out Brighton and Hove Albion F.C 3-1 at home, with Erling Haaland scoring a brace. (Congrats to us who captained the Norwegian beast in our fantasy teams)

We began the match the way we should have, with complete intensity and composure and in the eleventh minute, Granit Xhaka managed to pull us ahead. However, our intensity especially in the second half dropped off and Stuart Armstrong managed to get an equalizer in the 65th minute.

We really should work on our intensity right now. Just as in the games against Leeds United, our performance in the second half was really poor and we paid for it. Arteta really has some work to do in order to enable us remain as title challengers.

Our next game is on Thursday against PSV Eindhoven before Nottingham Forest come to The Emirates on Sunday. We really should beat them off, but it won't be an easy game as Nottingham Forest very recently beat Liverpool and also, they were the ones who knocked us out of last season's F.A Cup.
