Van Nistelrooy Knows

Former Manchester United player and current PSV Eindhoven's manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, becomes the second manager this season after United's Erik Ten Hag, to hand Arteta an L.

This happened on Thursday Night at the Philips Stadion where goals from Veerman and De Jong were enough to seal the game for the Dutch team.

Eindhoven was by far the better team, even though we were the ones with the more possession of the ball. They had three goals ruled out for offside and so, technically speaking, they did hit our side of the net 5 times and so it would have been an even worse embarrassment.

We are still top of our Europa League table, with 12 points as PSV closely follow us behind with 10 points. It is vital for us to clinch top spot in our game against Zurich on 3rd November so as to avoid the unnecessary playoffs with teams such as Barcelona who have been knocked out of the Champions League.

Arsenal's current form seems to be dipping slowly, following the draw to Southampton last week and then the L to PSV. Our weaknesses have been exposed, especially in the second half where we totally seem out of the game. Maybe the marathon-like run of October fixtures have something to do with it, coupled with key players having injuries such as Olexsandre Zinchenko and Mohamed Elneny. However we still have to push until the start of the World Cup if we are to have any fighting chance for the Premier League title.

Manchester City are now a point above us, having beaten Leicester by a single goal in their match earlier on today. This means that we should definitely get a W in our next match against Nottingham Forest so as to regain the lead and enlargen the gap between us.

This is Arsenal. Whether we win, draw or lose, we as Gunners will always have our players' backs as we are proud of them just as they should have pride in playing for us and the badge on their shirts.
