Dutch superstar and all round awesome lady, Vivianne Miedema, had her statue made by Adidas outside the Emirates Stadium right before the much-anticipated North London Derby in which our ladies won by 3 goals to none, moving them much closer to the F.A W.S.L Title as they are now just 1 point behind current leaders Chelsea Women.
Miedema has completely revolutionized The Women's Super League, scoring a whooping 74 goals in 84 appearances since gearing up in the famous Red and White Highbury's colors. This makes her currently the all-time leading scorer in the F.A W.S.L.
Even though the statue was only temporary, it was truly a heartwarming moment for the Dutch international, who stated in her official Twitter account, "Can't believe I have a statue outside of The Emirates Stadium! The first female statue at Arsenal! What a way to celebrate the #NLD win!"
Tomorrow is the final matchday in this season's Women's Super League in what will surely be a thrilling matchday especially in two matches; West Ham United F.C Women vs Arsenal Women at the Chigwell Construction Stadium and Chelsea Women vs Manchester United Women at the Kingsmeadow.
Arsenal Women will need a really big favor from Manchester United Women who beat West Ham United F.C Women by 3 goals last Sunday, if the Gunners are to clinch the title. This is so because Chelsea head to the finalé with a one-point advantage over Arsenal and so we'll definitely need some good luck. No matter the outcome of tomorrow's games, I believe Arsenal Women have made us Gunners proud this season, becoming the only English Club to reach this season's UEFA Women's Champions League's quarter-final, beating Tottenham at The Emirates and chasing down the F.A WSL title to the very final whistle. Note this; all this have been during Jonas Eidevall's first season in the club and with his managerial contract extended, there's just so many awesome possibilities in the coming future. So COME ON YOU GUNNERS!
